**Updated event invite - this one is public**In September 2023, Sandra Sherman was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a progressive autoimmune disease that damages the liver and often leads to liver failure, and the need for a transplant. Since then, she's endured an extensive medical journey including hospital stays, procedures to manage complications and many doctor appts. Her care also includes costly trips to Mayo clinic, adding to her already overwhelming medical expenses. As a single mom of 2 boys who also works full-time, she somehow manages to balance it all and remain optimistic.
