Sandra Bouza is a singer-songwriter whose voice delivers music that’s both soulful and deeply personal. Born in Toronto and raised between Canada and Spain, she carries a lifelong outsider’s insight into her work. She blends keen observation with poetic lyricism, shaped by her formative years and grounded in roots-soul storytelling.After performing across Morocco, Toronto, and beyond, Bouza returned with a honed edge and authentic voice that quickly gained recognition. Her latest album, A Sound in the Dark, has been nominated for Contemporary Album of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Her storytelling and phrasing, echoing legends like Etta James, Carla Thomas, Amy Winehouse, and Adele, now emerge with a poise and control all her own.
