We’re excited to announce an upcoming baseball camp collaboration featuring Sandlot Radio Network, NSB Babe Ruth Baseball, Blacktips Baseball, Cudas Baseball, and former professional player and longtime MLB scout Tad Powers— bringing together high-level instruction and player development opportunities designed to help athletes improve, compete, and get noticed.
Tad brings a unique combination of professional playing experience and decades of scouting and player evaluation knowledge. After pitching professionally in the Orioles organization and making MLB appearances with the Cubs, Tad transitioned into scouting and player development, working with MLB organizations including the Cubs and Angels both domestically and internationally.
Over the years, he has evaluated and helped develop countless players at the youth, high school, JUCO, collegiate, and professional levels. His experience gives athletes valuable insight into what coaches and scouts are truly looking for — not only in physical tools, but also in baseball IQ, competitiveness, confidence, and overall presence on the field.
This camp will focus on helping players sharpen the exact tools that matter most in today’s game, including:
⚾ 5 Tools Scouts Look For: Running, Throwing, Hitting, Fielding, and Hitting for Power
⚾ Situational baseball and live gameplay evaluations
⚾ Competitive drills and scrimmages
⚾ Skill refinement designed to improve player performance and visibility
⚾ Confidence, leadership, and character development
Players will have the opportunity to learn directly from someone who has spent years evaluating talent and helping athletes advance to the next level. Whether your goal is improving your game, preparing for high school or college baseball, or gaining exposure in front of experienced evaluators, this camp is designed to provide meaningful instruction and development.
