The City of Troutdale is hosting a Wildfire Safety Fair at Lewellyn Park in the Sandee Palisades Neighborhood. The event will include a variety of guest speakers who are experts in their respective fields, who will provide attendees with valuable information and tools about how to best be prepared and how to protect homes from potential wildfire. Join us and learn about wildfire prevention and preparedness.
• Meet your local Gresham Fire Department firefighters
• Fire engine and brush truck on display
• Learn about home hardening and defensible space
• Evacuation tips and advice
• Grab food and drinks and chat with your neighbors
• Learn how you can join and be part of a Sandee Palisades Firewise Community with your neighbors
Guest speakers include Jenn Warren, fire risk reduction specialist with the Oregon State Fire Marshall Department, a representative from the Gresham Fire Department, a representative from the Multnomah County Emergency Management Department, and City staff.
The event will conclude with an optional trip to a Sandee Palisades resident’s house, where attendees can view examples of effective wildfire mitigation design and discuss options for creating defensible space around your home in the event of a wildfire. Food and beverages will be provided.
