Michael Wallis, author of ROUTE 66: THE MOTHER ROAD, and other works that appeared in TIME, LIFE,PEOPLE, SMITHSONIAN, THE NEW YORKER, and THE NEW YORK TIMES, will be the guest speaker at the Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum's Annual Meeting on August 16th at 11:00 a.m. Wallis will be discussing his latest book release, BELLE STARR: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE WILD WEST LEGEND.
Museum members receive PRIORITY SEATING through today, August 8th. Seating is limited. After today, interested others may reserve a seat by calling 918-246-2509. The event is free but donations to the museum will be accepted. Membership to the museum is also open to anyone who enjoys local history, art deco design, and community connection. We love our hometown museum!
There will be a brief museum business meeting after Mr. Wallis speaks. A limited number of books will also be available for purchase. The cost is $32.99 plus $2.94 in tax ($35.93) Cash is preferred.
