Opening Reception — Sunday, September 20, 3–5 PM

Join us for the opening reception of Sanctuary, a new body of work by Los Angeles artist Lynette K. Henderson. Drawing on residencies and travel across the American West, Europe, and Asia, Henderson's paintings explore the intersection of wildlife and human environments — weaving together imagery from Buddhist iconography, Italian ecclesiastical art, and the urban landscapes of Los Angeles into a meditation on coexistence, refuge, and our relationship to the natural world.
The exhibition features a multi-panel centerpiece alongside smaller works in the Sanctuary series, urban wildlife paintings, and pieces referencing the cell tower as symbol of tension between human progress and the natural world.
The show runs through October 10 by appointment.

Lynette will be in conversation about her practice and the ideas behind Sanctuary. Free and open to all. Zoom link to follow.
