San Mateo Phoenix Garden Compost Volunteer / Voluntariado de Abono Orgánico

Our Community Compost Hub allows folks to divert their compostable food waste into gardening compost to grow nourishing fruits and vegetables! Volunteering will consist of assisting with integrating food scraps into compost, so please be prepared for strong smells and wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Review the tasks you might be doing when you volunteer with us on the document.

Location: Phoenix Garden - 222 Paul Scannell Dr, San Mateo, CA 94402 (Continue on Paul Scannell Dr, past the parking lots and buildings, until the dead end. The Compost Hub is on the left hand side.)

Dates and times: San Mateo Compost Integrations take place every other Saturday from 1:30pm-3:30pm.

*Food scrap collections also take place earlier in the day at the College of San Mateo Farmers' Market and every Wednesday in East Palo Alto. Sign up on the respective links.*
