The San Jacinto District fishing tournament is open to Scouts of all ages (Cubs, Troops, Crews, and Ships) as well as Scouting families and friends who may be interested in joining the Scouting program.
Catching fish is FUN and Scouts just love to hook and reel them in! In this tournament Scouts will compete based on their rank (Cubs) or Program (Troops, Crews, Ships) to catch the longest, smallest and most fish. All Scouts will be given a patch for entering the tournament and some will also go home with a very hard earned award.
Schedule:
7:30 - 8:30 am Check-in
8:30 - 10:00 am Fishing Tournament
10:30 - 12:00 pm Award Ceremony
Cost:
Scouts / Youth over age 4: $10
Adults and Youth 4 and under: Free (due to a special TPWD exemption in place for this tournament)
Awards given to Cub Scouts:
1st place for most fish caught overall
Awarded By Rank:
1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for longest fish caught
1st place for smallest fish caught
Awards given to Scouts in Troops, Crews and Ships:
1st place for most fish caught overall
1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for longest fish caught

⚜️Bait is provided but it is recommended that Scouts bring some of their own as well.
