Join us for an 7-mile urban hike in San Francisco to celebrate the winter solstice and the holidays! You'll get a workout at the same time. We will see the festivities in the Ferry Building and walk through the Sales Force Garden. We will also encounter San Francisco's iconic hills and valleys. We'll climb Nob Hill to the grand hotels and Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower and dip into the valleys of Chinatown and North Beach. Since it will be the holiday season, we'll get a chance to wander into a few decorated lobbies of some well known hotels; the famous full size gingerbread house is up in the Fairmont Hotel.
�The hike begins under the big clock at the Ferry Building and will end at the same place. You can take Bart and exit at the Embarcadero Station. Easiest to go back of the Bart station and take the escalators to the street level and walk towards the foot of Market St. Please don't be late; come early and use the restrooms at the Ferry Building and view the morning Farmer's Market and holiday festivities there. Please meet the group promptly at 10 am. We will depart at 10:15 am.
�Bring water and snacks. If the group wants pizza at North Beach, we can put in an order at my favorite pizza take-out; cost is around $5.
