This summer we able to host this event on the Pacific shore side of Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado, San Diego. All of the Elements will be lined up right at the sand, waves crashing just a few paces away.

Recap: You are driving to San Diego. You are going on vacation. You are coming to the beach to see all the Elements and the cool people like you who are fortunate enough to own them. No pressure. We can't wait to see you!

State Park parking: $15 (tips for FREE passes below)
Why we are using this location: It is almost impossible to find any public beach parking lot in San Diego (on a weekend in the summer) where we can all park together. The State Park option solves this. Also, this is a beautiful beach. Check out the pictures.
Dogs: YES (kinda). You can have dogs on all of the paved areas (including our parking lot), just not on the sand (on the beach). So plan with that in mind.
Camping: Not for the Element. There is a campground in this park for bigger campers. We can recommend other local campgrounds.
Bathrooms: Yes. Private showers and changing rooms too.
Food: Not provided, but welcome! Some shops within walking distance (tunnel to the bay side of the strand). Fire pits are on site. Some picnic benches.
Extras:
Pre meetup roll-out meet at 9:30AM that will take you through some of the BARRIO LOGAN Chicano Park district for some street art views, then across the CORONADO BAY BRIDGE, past the historic HOTEL DEL CORONADO, and down the Strand in full Element force to the meetup location at the beach. All captured on video (directed by @toastytheterrible of @element_lowlifes). Full route links with waypoints will be provided in advance so we can keep it tight this time.

Possible Street Art and/or SD Landmark Element photo shoots on Saturday for those who want to join up.
Make a day of it, a weekend of it, a week of it. San Diego Elements locals can share the real spots so you can catch some flavor. All Elements are welcome to join the SAN DIEGO ELEMENTS FB Group (you don’t need to be local). We will be setting up some chats for sure.

Aside from the state park parking fee, this is a free event. San Diego Elements does not make or take any money. We just want to share the space with you and bring together the Element community for a day on the beach.
We are, however, using it as a ploy to get you to sign up for a Library Card if you don’t already have one (also free). Especially those of you in California.
Silver Strand State Park participates in the California State Library Parks Pass program. Many California public libraries let cardholders “check out” a free State Parks vehicle day-use pass, which will cover parking for your Honda Element at Silver Strand (and multiple passengers). Availability varies by library and passes can go fast, so check with your local public library early and ask for the California State Library Parks Pass. This can be a great way to save on the day-use parking fee for the meetup. In San Diego (for example), you can check out a parking pass for two weeks at a time that permits you to park at almost ALL of the California State Parks, not just Silver Strand. So time it right and you park for free. The pass does not cover camping, group-use fees, special event fees, extra vehicles, oversized vehicles, or other add-on fees. Plan ahead—these passes are popular. More info on that:

ALL ELEMENTS ARE WELCOME. SDE is about the community that congregates around the car. We love the campers and the mods and the minibike haulers, but it’s all about the people. So push it or tow it. It’s all good.
