In order to get married, you have to date... GASP!!! I know, "dating" might feel like a dirty word in the church setting, but here at IYKYK Dating, we want to change that stigma and facilitate opportunities for Christian singles to meet each other in a healthy, God-honoring way.

• Play fun, structured get-to-know-you games so there will never be an awkward moment

Do you "Vet" the People Who Come?

We advertise these events as "Christian Dating Mixers" and as a result, the majority (if not all attendees) tend to be fellow believers! While there is no way we can "vet out" everyone, we can confidently say from running dozens and dozens of these events that 99% of everyone who shows up genuinely loves the Lord and are looking for partners who do as well.

How Do You Exchange Contact Info With Someone You're Interested In??

Glad you asked! Here at IYKYK Dating we ask the men to boldly make the first move by giving a woman a "flirty" business card as we like to call them if he'd like to continue to get to know the woman. (We can make the cards for you or you can make them yourself just write your name, number & social media handle on a sticky note or on something else creative.

In return, we ask the woman to boldly accept or decline the card. If she accepts, we require that she reach out to him to either continue getting to know him or to tell him she is no longer interested WITHIN 48 hours (aka The 48 Hour Policy). By committing to this ticket, you are agreeing to the 48-hour policy and understand if a guy gives you their card and you accept it, you will be expected to uphold the 48-hour policy. On the flip side, if a man hands out a card, he MUST respond to the woman within 48 hours as well when she reaches out. If we find out that after giving or accepting a card there was no further communication within 48 hours:

1. You must reach out to the person, apologize, and ask for forgiveness (can I get an amen for Biblical reconciliation?)
2. Pay a "bail" price to get "out of J*il" if you'd like to participate in any of our future events. The bail price will be equivalent to a regular ticket ($75). We do this to hold people accountable and deter people from ghosting.

Why the 48 Hour Policy??

we are passionate about changing dating culture- specifically "ghosting" culture. We want to use IYKYK Dating as a way to help people grow, especially in the areas of communication & integrity. We believe our yes should be yes and our no should be no. We could go on and on about why we have chosen to have this policy, but we hope you understand we have thought through the best way to go about this and we take this very seriously. Remember: you can decline the card in person - this is still honest communication, just do it in a loving way :)

IMPORTANT:

Due to the uniqueness of this event and the need for even ratios, we have devised a ticketing system that will ensure there are the same amount of women and men attending the event. At the latest, you will receive an email the day before the event informing you if you have gotten an "entry ticket" or not. If you fall in the latter group of not getting an entry ticket, don’t give up, there is still an opportunity for you to be able to come! To increase your chances of being able to get an entry ticket... we encourage you to reach out to your Christian friends of the opposite sex and invite them, as this allows more of your gender spots to open up. If in the unfortunate event we aren’t able to get you an entry ticket due to gender ratios needing to match, your method of payment will be refunded.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds and all sales are final. If you are unable to make it to the event, you may send your ticket to someone of the same gender but they must have the ticket in hand (or on their phones) for us to scan upon check-in.

Keep in mind…

*If you are not feeling well, please respect the rest of the event by not coming, we do hope you feel better quickly and encourage you to give your ticket to someone else of the same gender to take your place, to help keep even men/women ratios!

*Please be aware and uphold our 48-Hour Policy (post-event) as we aim to shift the ghosting culture in dating. Please see above under “What’s the 48-Hour Policy” for any clarification or reach out to us if you have any questions.

*By purchasing a ticket you are consenting to IYKYK Dating taking photos and videos during our event and using it for any commercial or advertisement for IYKYK Dating.

*We reserve the right to ask anyone at any time to leave for any reason. We've got discernment for a reason, folks.

*We are not liable if you contract COVID-19 or any sickness during our events, any physical harm, emotional harm, stolen items, and/or if you do not find love.

*We cannot be held responsible for the actions of grown adults. No one has been properly vetted. We do not encourage nor will stand for sexual harassment.
