A joyful and soulful weekend retreat for men to gather together, to share, to learn, and to grow.
Our theme for this weekend is The Enneagram.
In Irish mythology, Samhain is the season when the veil between this world and the spirit world is at its thinnest. On a human level, Samhain invites us to delve deeper into the realm of our True Self, stepping away from the protective shell—the ego—that we habitually mistake for who we really are.
The Enneagram is a profound tool for this journey. Its purpose is to help expose the false beliefs you may have developed about yourself since early childhood, showing how the demands of the "real" adult world can overwrite the vivid imagination and intuition of our youth.
Who We Are
Men As Learners and Elders (M.A.L.Es) is a group of men dedicated to cultivating healthy, mature masculinity. Together, we take ownership of our "stuff"—releasing what no longer serves us so we can move beyond it and embrace a healthier way of being. We take action in the best interests of ourselves, our families, and our communities. At a M.A.L.Es event, you will find a sincere welcome, with no hierarchy, no religion, and no obligation.
What to Expect
We will study the nine Enneagram types in detail, helping you to discover and understand your own. The weekend will include drumming, sharing in the Way of Council, periods of silence, time in nature, hearty food, laughter, and camaraderie.
The retreat runs from dinner on Friday evening through to lunch on Sunday afternoon. Don’t forget your drum, if you have one, but don't worry—we have plenty of spares.
