About this Event
THE FLOW
Join us as we celebrate Samhain, the ancient cross-quarter festival that bridges autumn’s final harvest and winter’s descent. This is the time when the veil between worlds grows thin, allowing us to commune with our ancestors and the unseen realms.
What’s Included:
- 🕯️ Ancestral Altar Creation – We will co-create a sacred altar to honor our ancestors and the lineages that guide us. You’re invited to bring a photo, token, or small offering (such as candles, flowers, or seasonal foods) to contribute to our communal altar.
- 🌿 Guided Tea Meditation with Mugwort – Mugwort, the dreamer’s herb and ancient ally of seers, will guide our tea meditation. Through her spirit, we will open our intuition, receive messages from the unseen, and connect with ancestral wisdom.
- 📜 Storytelling & Seasonal Lore – Discover the origins of Samhain in Celtic tradition—its connection to death and renewal, the honoring of the dead, and how these ancient customs evolved into modern celebrations like All Hallows’ Eve.
- 🧹 Witches’ Broom Crafting (Besom Making) – Create your own besom, a traditional witch’s broom symbolizing cleansing and protection. Using wild-harvested materials, you’ll learn how to bind, bless, and consecrate your broom for ritual or home use.
- 🖋️ Reflective Journaling & Sharing Circle – Guided prompts will help you explore your ancestral roots, personal cycles of transformation, and intentions for the darker half of the year. We will close with a heart-centered sharing circle.
- 🍎 Seasonal Food Bites– Enjoy nourishing autumnal snacks and beverages crafted with love, such as roasted root vegetables, farro fall salad, mulled NA wine, and pumpkin bread infused with herbs of remembrance and grounding.
Together, we will honor this sacred time of transition—celebrating the cycles of life, death, and rebirth, and deepening our connection to the wisdom that flows through the veil.
What to Bring:
- A photo or token of an ancestor (human, animal, or spirit guide) for the altar
- A water bottle
- A journal and pen
- A yoga mat or cushion for meditation
- Optional: Shears or small pruning scissors for broom-making
