SPEAKER: Lt Col(S) Ted Ornelas, AFCENT/A47 Deputy Division Chief

BIOGRAPHY: Lt Col(S) Ornelas is the Deputy Division Chief, 9AF (AFCENT)/A47 Engineering Division at Shaw Air Force Base. As Division Chief Deputy, he oversees 36 military members, government civilians, and contractors charged with managing all Air Force engineering equities within Central Command theater to include, but not limited to over $1B in burden share military construction, crash fire rescue support, implementation of environmental planning, and all other infrastructure support required to protect, deter, and project US Airpower.

MEETING INFORMATION: With the Oct 7, 2023 attack on Israel and the volatile nature of the Middle East, Lt Col Ornelas will be providing a presentation on the current construction initiatives, portfolio, and buildup of infrastructure in the Central Command theater spearheading the Air Force’s power projection platforms and supporting our Middle East partners in deterring Iranian aggression throughout the region. These initiatives directly impact the midlands of SC due to the high operational tempo, unique mission sets, and warrior mindsets being built on Shaw Air Force Base, McIntyre Air National Guard Base, and Fort Jackson.
