SAME January Mtg - Kusilvak Career Academy Drone Racing Program

Scott McClure, Enterprise Architect with Tepa, LLC, submitted a SAME STEM grant application to study drone racing materials and educational theory for the Lower Yukon School District’s (LYSD) Kusilvak Career Academy (KCA). KCA is a school that offers juniors and seniors the only quarterly boarding school program in the state. LYSD consists of 10 remote village sites and serves 2,000 students. Now entering its sixth year, KCA introduces students to a wide range of careers, many of which they have never observed firsthand.

We will perform a walkthrough of the KCA Facility and then end with a presentation of the drone research.
