The first show sold out. The room was warm, loud and full of love. So we’re doing it again: Sam Nafie and his powerhouse band return for an encore performance celebrating the music of Stevie Wonder.
Join Sam Nafie (vocals), Harry Mitchell (piano), Joe Southwell (bass) and Ric Eastman (drums) as this compact powerhouse leans into Stevie’s catalogue with groove, grit and just the right amount of freedom.
Sam is one of Perth’s most soulful and versatile vocalists, known for his work across R&B, soul and hip-hop. Pianist Harry Mitchell is a multi-award-winning mainstay of the Australian jazz scene, while drummer Ric Eastman is one of the country’s most respected rhythmic voices. Bassist Joe Southwell returns from London for this show, bringing the tight, deep-pocket energy he’s become known for on stages across Australia and the UK.
This trio-plus-one lineup keeps things honest, energetic and delightfully unpredictable. Not a reimagining, not a nostalgia act… just four players who adore these songs and bring their own fingerprints to every groove.
