Marking the 251st Anniversary of the Battle of Bloody Point!
Relax aboard a double-decker catamaran with restrooms, full bar, and kitchen while experiencing the historic sites by water, the only way they were accessible until 1956.
The tour will depart from the Salty Dog dock at South Beach Marina in Sea Pines at 1pm and will return by 4pm. Be advised – allow extra time and plan to arrive at 12:45pm as the boat will have to depart at 1pm due to tides.
Leading Beaufort County Revolutionary War historians will narrate a three-hour tour by water to Bloody Point on the southern tip of Daufuskie Island, where Patriot scout boats intercepted and confiscated 16,000 pounds of gunpowder in July 1775. Along the route, the narrative will highlight the Revolutionary War events and locations along the shores of Hilton Head and Daufuskie Island, which occurred between 1779 and 1785.
