Special Screening: Salt Cured Life📍 Williams Hall | 📅 February 7
Join us for a special viewing of Salt Cured Life, an award-winning documentary normally shown only at film festivals. This exclusive screening is also a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting Reef Relief’s Education and Conservation Programs.
Directed by Cassidy Rast and Odin Wadleigh, Salt Cured Life offers an intimate portrait of island life in Key West, Florida, where food, water, and community are deeply intertwined. At the heart of the film is local chef and waterman Paul Menta, whose story captures the spirit of resilience and connection that defines a “salt cured life.”
Recognized for its compelling storytelling and stunning cinematography, the film won Best Short Documentary at the Sunscreen Film Festival. It highlights the strength of the Key West community, particularly in the face of challenges such as hurricanes, and celebrates how people come together through shared culture and care for their environment.
Salt Cured Life is more than a film - it’s a celebration of community, local culture, and the vital connection between people and the natural world.
Tickets are $25
