With Camp Hollywood around the corner, it's competition season and we're hosting a fun, chill Mix and Match for our local scene! A Mix and Match is a random partner social dance competition. It's a great way to challenge yourself, meet new people, and stretch your dance skills! This will take place during our regular Thursday dances over the course of 2 weeks. And there will be prizes!☀️ Dates & Times ☀️
Thursday, August 14th 9pm:
- Newcomer Finals
- Open Prelims
- Extra hour of Blues music! (dance ending at 11pm)
Thursday, August 21st 9pm
- Open Finals
- Performances
- Dance extended until 11pm!
☀️ Division Descriptions ☀️
Newcomer: open to folks who are in level 1, 2, or new to level 3 classes, and have never placed in a Lindy Hop competition. If you placed below 1st in a previous Salt City Swing Mix & Match, you are welcome to compete in newcomer again. The newcomer division will be limited to 10 couples, so sign up fast!
Open: Anyone and everyone can sign up (unless you’re Nils and Bianca). Finalists will get free entrance to the dance on the 21st!
☀️ How does it work? ☀️
You will sign up as an individual and get paired up with random partners throughout the competition. You can choose to dance in your primary role in the open level and your secondary role in the newcomer level, provided that you meet the eligibility requirements stated above.

Suggested donation of $0-10 per division (100% will be donated to the Frankie Manning Foundation: https://www.frankiemanningfoundation.org/
