Discover the rhythms behind your dancing.
Have you ever wanted to understand the music better in Salsa songs? What are the rhythms you can hear and how do they fit together? How can you dance to them with more musicality and style?
This hands-on percussion workshop is designed specifically for Salsa dancers who want to deepen their understanding of Salsa musicality. No drumming or music experience is necessary, and all instruments are provided. If you can dance, you can drum!
What you'll experience
🪘 Play authentic Conga, Timbales, Bongos, Guiro, Clave +more
🪘 Learn the rhythms of Salsa, Cha-Cha, Mambo and Son Montuno
🪘Feel how the rhythms fit together to create incredible, exciting Salsa music
⚠️ This is a percussion workshop, not a dance workshop. But we guarantee your dancing will get a power up! ⚠️

🔥Led by Raz Jayasuriya🔥
Raz has over 34 years' experience performing and teaching percussion in the UK and internationally. He has studied Cuban and Brazilian percussion, including playing in Cuba with members of Clave y Guaguancó and has a deep understanding of afro-cuban drumming traditions. Raz performs with Charanga del Norte and has extensive experience working with salsa dancers and musicians over many years.
