ABOUT THE TEACHERPeter, an experienced salsa instructor in Tyne and Wear, offers weekly salsa and dedicated Rueda classes. He earned his dance instructor qualification in 2004, founding Salsa Simplemente in 2005. Recognized with Salsa York's Twelfth Night Extravaganza Award in 2009, Peter's passion lies in Cuban salsa and La Rueda de Casino. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to refine your skills, Peter will guide you through the basics and help you explore the joy of Cuban-style salsa. His classes will certainly be a brilliant dance experience, regardless of your skill level.
SPECIAL GUEST DJ
DJ Pablito, who a lot of you will know from previously running Salsa for Charity, will be keeping the dance floor busy after the classes until midnight! He’ll be playing a fantastic mix of salsa and bachata with some kizomba and the odd merengue and cha cha if requested.
THE CHOSEN CHARITY
This month, we are supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), a charity dedicated to funding research, improving care, and providing support for people with motor neurone disease (MND), their families, and carers.
MND is a life-shortening condition that affects the nerves controlling muscles. It can impact walking, talking, eating, and even breathing, with symptoms progressing differently for everyone. While there is no cure, MNDA works to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
This cause is particularly close to the heart of this month’s teacher, whose friend has been diagnosed with MND. Your support helps MNDA provide specialist care and fund vital research to improve lives now and in the future.
