Tim Whitsel believes in the cheekbones of the first girl he kissed and the powers of riding a solitary bicycle. He hosted the Windfall reading series for five years at the Eugene Public Library. We Say Ourselves, his chapbook, was published by Traprock Books in 2012. Airlie Press in Portland published Wish Meal in 2016. His poems appear in Cirque, Construction, Elohi Gadugi and Capitalism Nature Socialism and December and more recently four of his poems were honored as part of the McKenzie River Trust’s annual series, “On This Land.”The Salem Poetry Project continues at the Bush Barn Annex, 600 Mission St SE, Salem. Parking for the Bush Barn and Bush House is located off of High Street and the Annex entrance is just to the left of the main entrance. Each week will present a featured reader followed by the Infamous Open Mic: 3 poems or five minutes whichever is first. Featured reader begins at 7:00 and the open mic will directly follow.
