Salad Bowl Potting Workshop

Plant your very own salad bowl garden to take home! Learn how to plant, take care of, and harvest cool season salad greens all winter long.
About this Event

Join us at the Farm to learn about cool season gardening, different winter greens, cool season herbs, and edible flowers. We’ll show you how to plant, care for, and harvest from your Salad Bowl so you can enjoy fresh salads all season long! The workshop begins with a short farm tour and ends with a beautiful, edible container garden of your own creation!

We will provide all the potting materials needed:

• Lettuces, specialty greens, cool season herbs, & edible flowers

• Large planter bowl with drainage holes

• Planting medium and organic fertilizer

• Care instructions handout

We recommend you bring the following items:

• Comfortable, closed toe shoes

• Garden apron, smock or old clothing.

• Sunhat and/or sunglasses (if you are sensitive)

• Garden gloves (we provide disposable nitrile gloves)

This is a hands-on, rain-or-shine event.

This workshop is open to all ages! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
