Every April, as cherry blossoms bloom across Japan, we bring that same sense of beauty, precision, and tradition to Grain & Glass with our annual Sakura Series.

This year, we’re diving deeper than ever into the world of Japanese whisky—exploring not just the liquid, but the culture, craftsmanship, and philosophy behind it.

While we patiently wait for our new bar to open (yes… we know, we’re suffering too), we’re taking over Cherry Red's, right by New Street Station, for a special one-night gathering.

🎌 Special Guest: Nathan Shearer (Speciality Brands)

We’re thrilled to welcome Nathan Shearer, spirits specialist at Speciality Brands—one of the UK’s leading premium spirits importers, known for representing some of the most respected and character-driven producers in the world.

Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge (and the kind of behind-the-scenes insight whisky nerds live for), with a particular passion for Japanese whisky. Expect stories, production deep-dives, and probably a few moments where you realise you’ve been pronouncing things wrong your whole life.
