RAPHAELLA HERO and the Last of the Romantics
Raphaella Hero makes music to capture your heart. Born of a song sung over a teacup, her work as a composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and teacher carries forward a legacy of creative spell-casting. Her songs tell familiar stories of loss, abundance, romance, and self-discovery with a lightness and emotional clarity guided by her perpetual study of poetry and philosophy, as well as her explorations of multifaceted creative improvisation. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she has performed with Darol Anger & Mike Marshall, Kenny Barron, Eugene Friesen, Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas, Kenny Werner, and others.
