Sake Tasting

Learn all about styles and flavors of sake from industry expert, Matthew Spinner of World Sake Imports! Japanese-style appetizers will be served alongside the sake for a full, authentic experience in a class-style setting.

In this tasting, we will cover the standard aspects of sake brewing, tasting, and ordering. After this informal learning and tasting session, you will be able to confidently purchase, taste, and understand sake at a base level. You will feel comfortable purchasing at any restaurant or wine shop in the world!

Sakes to be served:

• Kamoizumi kome kome “happy bride” specialty sake - piquant and mildly sweet, a charming low-alcohol aperitif
• Sawayaka junmai “summer breeze” - soft touch of tangerine and balsam
• Dewazakura Ginjo “cherry bouquet” - delightful, flowery bouquet with a touch of pear and melon
• Tedorigawa Yamahai Dai Ginjo “chrysanthemum meadow” - flavors of honey and herbs
