Born Abraham Lupwishi in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and raised in Zimbabwe, Denimwoods is a pioneering hip-hop artist reshaping the African music scene. Influenced by his brother's admiration for 50 Cent and his parents' love for Kofi Olomide, Denim Woods developed a unique sound blending global hip-hop with Afrocentric melodies. His musical journey commenced in 2017 with the release of "Home Alone" on SoundCloud. In 2019, he was selected for Mr. Eazi’s emPawa Africa initiative, spotlighting Africa’s emerging talents. His debut mixtape, Dirty Corolla Music Vol. 1, dominated Zimbabwean charts for three consecutive weeks in 2020. International acclaim followed, including a feature in Vogue Italia's "Summer 2022 Music Picks."
