THE SAILOR BAR BENCH CELEBRATION IS MARCH 21ST! Thanks to Park Director Liz Bellas the day we have been waiting for has been designated! Put on your play clothes, turn off your electronics, wear your walking shoes and bring your family to Sailor Bar for the official Dedication of the Brand New Beautiful Benevolent Benches on the National Day of Play, Saturday, March 21st at the lower Olive Avenue parking lot from 10:00 - 11:00. Arrive early at 9:30 for refreshments and play the ring toss game at the new Friends of Sailor Bar booth. See the new Friends of Sailor Bar's positive message on the banner designed by Pam Burton. It is beautiful!
Following the dedication, from 11:00 - 12:30 there will be a Find the Benches, Win a Prize Scavenger Hunt! Or, if you prefer something more focused on Nature, go for an interactive scenic walking tour! Learn from the expert docents about the birds, fish and other wildlife and their habitat.
I'm pleased that we will have opportunity to show our appreciation to Park Director Liz Bellas, and District Supervisor 3 Rich Desmond who will make short presentations. We will also honor the Past President of the Save American River Association Warren Truitt. This is an iconic day to be celebrated. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the purchase of the benches and tables, and for all of your support.
