Saggar Workshop Part 1 & 2
About this Event
Through this 2-part workshop participants will be invited to think about the ways that we hold/imagine deep time and changing climates through material in the Pipe Factory Archive. What is clay? When did it form? What did the land look like then? And who lived there?
We’ll use saggars to reconstruct our own ancient dioramas, creating collaborative artworks that will become a part of the archive, and drawing from the fossil record to envision the bodies that were scuttling, swimming and crawling around millions of years ago when these clays were forming.
This workshop is taking place over two dates (the 16th and 23rd) please book a ticket for each date to take part in the full workshop!
