About this Event
Safety Planning for Liberation
Welcome to black.loved.free's first online seminar, Safety Planning for Liberation! Join us for an interactive session where we will discuss strategies and tools to end oppression and abuse in your life.
Are you ready to learn how to build a practice of resistance rather than relying solely on electoral politics?
In this online workshop, we’ll learn more about principled Black feminist resistance and create a plan for healing, study, and community transformation.
Participants are encouraged to read June Jordan's Notes Toward a Model of Resistance and/or listen to this episode of black. loved. free..
About the Facilitator
Dr. Brendane A. Tynes (she/her) is an Afro-Carolinian queer Black feminist scholar and storyteller. She brings together African indigenous spirituality and healing with Black feminist politics to provide insight on current events to encourage healing and liberation.
For over 13 years, Brendane has done racial justice and gender justice political work that includes organizing, scholar activism, and healing justice. She holds a decolonial, abolitionist Black feminist politic and a firm, intractable belief in the self-determination of Black and other oppressed peoples.
Brendane is now the host of black. loved. free., a spiritual-political podcast that examines Black feminist political theory and Black and Indigenous spirituality.
