Safety Planning + CSRSS Training
About this Event
This free community training provides practical tools for suicide prevention through Safety Planning and the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS). Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, assess suicide risk, engage in supportive conversations, and develop collaborative safety plans to help individuals stay safe and connected to care.
The training is designed for community members, professionals, caregivers, educators, first responders, and anyone interested in building confidence in responding to mental health crises. Attendees will gain hands-on knowledge and evidence-based strategies that can be applied in real-world situations to support individuals experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts.
No prior mental health experience is required.
