SAFE's 5th Annual Empowerment Luncheon
About this Event
SAFE in Lenoir and Greene County, in partnership with the Frank and Lou Shackelford Family Foundation, needs your support now more than ever. With major cuts to our key grants, we are relying on local support to maintain our services.
This year’s event features a remarkable story of survivor's resilience in overcoming tragedy. Christina Williams endured years of abuse at the hands of her husband. Police were called out to the home no less than 15 times. When she fought for her life, she was arrested and held for 10 years. That wasn't the end of her story. Come listen to this amazing story of strength and overcoming incredible obstacles.
SAFE in Lenoir County is dedicated to building a community of HEALTHY, loving, and safe relationships. This event will give you insight on the many issues survivors face when trying to get help. It is our hope that you will be encouraged by Christina's story to help us fight for survivor rights and become a champion for silenced voices be heard.
