If you are involved in the interview process for education settings, our half day safer recruitment in education course is what you need to keep your establishment safe.

Our hybrid delivery model means you can join us in person and enjoy all the benefits of our wonderful training venue, or online if it is too far for you to come: you will be prompted to let us know which you will be doing during the booking process.

Keeping Children Safe in Education states that "Governing bodies and proprietors should ensure that those involved with the recruitment and employment of staff to work with children have received appropriate safer recruitment training" (paragraph 212). This is a requirement in addition to the expectation that governors "ensure that at least one of the persons who conducts an interview has completed safer recruitment training" (paragraph 213).

Our safer recruitment training looks at why this requirement is in place, and the considerations for safer decision making throughout the recruitment process, from planning, through advertising, applications and shortlisting, interviews and pre-appointment checks and the final offer.

Because we believe in a collaborative approach to safeguarding, we encourage members of staff to train together, where they can write safeguarding development plans which provide value long after the event is complete.
