Safeguarding Conference

The Safeguarding and Protection Team (SPT), Cork Kerry Community Healthcare, invite professionals and designated officers to attend a Safeguarding Conference on Tuesday 5th November at the Oriel House Hotel.

Registration is required to attend and registration will close at 5pm on Friday 25th October.

Our Safeguarding Conference will be a day of learning and networking and will entail a number of key speakers who will present on a diverse range of topics to inform an open discussion on person centred safeguarding practice.

Topics that will be presented on include;

• Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Risk of Abuse
• Assisted Decision Making (ADM)
• Consent
• Advocacy Services
• Fraud Intelligence and Banking Supports for Vulnerable Customers
• Technology Enabled Abuse
• Regulation Compliance

Objectives include;

• To build on shared knowledge and expertise
• To bring diverse skills and perspectives across the group
• To improve awareness in recognising, recording and reporting concerns of abuse
• This event will mark the occasion for National Safeguarding Day which falls on Friday 8th November.
