Safeguarding Children & Adults Training
About this Event
Delivered as part of Spring North’s member training programme, this in‑person safeguarding workshop equips VCFSE staff, volunteers and trustees with the knowledge and confidence to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Participants will explore key safeguarding legislation, organisational responsibilities, and how to identify signs of abuse or neglect in both children and adults.
The session provides practical guidance on developing and following safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting concerns, and understanding escalation routes. Attendees will also learn how to create a safe, accountable safeguarding culture within their organisation, with examples and scenarios drawn from real challenges across our network.
Members will leave with clearer responsibilities, improved confidence in handling concerns, and practical steps to strengthen safeguarding practice and protect the people and communities they support.
