Join Ashland Pride for a foundational Safe Zone Training, a workshop designed to create a more welcoming and supportive community for all. Produced in partnership with The Safe Zone Project, a widely-used, free online resource for LGBTQ+ awareness, this training provides an opportunity for you to learn, ask questions, and become a visible ally.

What is Safe Zone Training?
This interactive workshop offers a non-judgmental space to explore key concepts related to gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ identities. Whether you're a student, a professional, or a community member, you will gain a deeper understanding of:
- Core Vocabulary: Learn and practice inclusive language and terminology.
- Gender & Sexuality: Understand the important distinctions between gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.
- Allyship in Action: Discuss ways to actively support LGBTQ+ individuals and create more inclusive spaces in your everyday life.
- Privilege & Coming Out: Reflect on your own experiences and gain insight into the processes of privilege and coming out.
This training is for everyone who wants to be a better ally and advocate. By attending, you will not only deepen your personal understanding but also contribute to building a safer, more equitable Ashland for all.
