About this Event
Tonight, somewhere in Oakland County, a mother and her kids will sleep in a car. A family will stretch one more night in a hotel room they can't afford. And a county of 1.2 million people will have exactly 18 family shelter spaces to offer them.
We refuse to accept that. And on Thursday, October 1, you can help us change it.
Community Resource Collective / Safe Tonight Shelter and Kids Empowered On The Move are joining forces for SAFE TONIGHT, HOME TOMORROW, a first-of-its-kind benefit evening at The Crofoot in downtown Pontiac, featuring an immersive "Extended Stay" exhibit by award-winning documentary photographer Karen Lippowiths: https://karenlippowiths.com
Last winter, we sheltered 156 guests and helped 58 of them move into transitional housing. With you in the room on October 1, we can do far more!
