About this Event

Child sexual abuse is a silent epidemic in our country, and Utah is no exception. Join members of the SAFE Coalition, elected officials, nonprofit leaders, academic researchers, and community advocates for discussions surrounding what we can collectively change to keep our kids safer.

At the symposium, guests will receive updates from industry experts on the impactful projects being worked on throughout Utah, have networking opportunities, and visit partners at the resource fair. We will also be screening Broken Trust, a documentary by Jill Yesko that gives voice to Olympic and national-class athletes who experienced abuse by coaches and other authority figures and examines the systemic conditions that allowed that abuse to continue unchecked. The screening will be followed by a keynote address from Jessica Armstrong, who is featured in the film and has since become an advocate for athlete protection.

We hope to create an environment of collaboration that inspires and propels our efforts to end child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts on society. Please Join us on September 29th.

The SAFE Coalition, comprised of various organizations and individuals across the state, seeks to stop child sexual abuse by changing Utahns' perceptions of the issue and moving them to act.
