Safe AI for Seniors (SAiS 2026)

AI4Society, in collaboration with the AI Institute at the University of South Carolina and community partners, is organizing the second instance of its Safe AI for Seniors workshop (SaiS 2026). This first-of-its-kind initiative had its first event on Nov 14, 2025 at the University of South Carolina and was received highly positively (details: https://sites.google.com/cse.sc.edu/safe-ai-for-seniors/; sessions on AI, health, law and cybersecurity).

Encouraged by its success, we are planning the second instance. The events are designed to empower senior citizens (55 years and older) with knowledge and hands-on experiences related to safe and responsible AI. Seniors are a fast-growing yet underserved community in the AI conversation, and the second event will directly address their concerns in health, cybersecurity, and climate change challenges.
