Internationally renowned sitar virtuoso Shakir Khan brings the depth, flare and mesmerising sounds of Indian classical music to Cork City in a once-off special concert, accompanied by Nitin Prabhakar on tabla.

Presented by the Indian Classical Music Society of Ireland, this is a rare opportunity to see world class Indian classical music at the iconic St Anne's Church, Shandon Bells. Accompanied by Nitin Prabhakar on tabla with Cork-based Dara O’Brien on tanpura, this chamber-style concert offers intimate ragas, improvisation and spiritual depth.

Shakir Khan is an award winning artist following the footsteps of his father and guru, sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan. As a torchbearer of this distinguished musical lineage, Shakir brings depth, elegance and innovation and enchants audiences around the world.
