About this Event
Join us for an intimate gathering to welcome the spring season through mindful cooking and communal dining. As we stand at the threshold between winter and spring, we'll explore themes of balance, renewal, and awakening through our connection with seasonal ingredients and ancestral cooking practices.
This sacred cooking experience offers a unique opportunity to deepen three essential connections: to ourselves through mindful practice, to each other through shared stories and collaborative creation, and to the earth through intimate engagement with seasonal ingredients. As we work with spring's first offerings, we'll attune ourselves to nature's rhythms and our own inner wisdom.
In this five-hour experiential workshop, we'll work together to transform humble spring ingredients—tender greens, stored root vegetables, fresh eggs, and sprouting seeds—into a celebratory feast that honors the returning light. Through mindful cooking practices, meditation, and shared stories, we'll deepen our relationship with food while creating beautiful, nourishing dishes that reflect the season's emergence.
What to Expect:
- Guided meditation and sensory exploration with ingredients
- Hands-on cooking instruction using seasonal produce
- Story sharing around food traditions and family lineage
- Creative food presentation and mandala-making
- Communal dinner celebrating the spring equinox
- Collective cleaning practices that honor our shared space
Workshop Flow:
- 2:30 PM: Welcome and opening circle
- 3:00 PM: Mindful cooking practices and preparation
- 6:00 PM: Shared celebratory dinner
- 7:30 PM: Closing circle and gratitude practice
This intimate workshop is limited to 12 participants to ensure a deep and personal experience. Together, we'll explore how working with food can become a sacred practice that connects us to the earth's rhythms, our ancestral wisdom, and our own inner knowing.
Bring your openness to experience food preparation as meditation, your willingness to share in the community, and your appetite for both nourishment and discovery.
