Sacred Nature Weekend is a small camping gathering designed for people who want to unplug from daily distractions and reconnect with the natural world. For one weekend we will slow down, spend time outdoors, learn about local plants and fungi, share meals together, and build community around the fire.
Participants will camp in tents or RVs and take part in a variety of activities including guided foraging hikes, a blacklight night hike, insect observation using a light sheet, nature painting, music around the fire, and a Wild Foods Dinner on Saturday evening. The goal of the weekend is simple: spend time outside, learn from the land around us, and enjoy being together in nature.
This is an adult-only gathering (18+) and a weekend centered on fun, respect for nature, personal responsibility, and community.
Each participant will receive a black light flashlight to use during the night hike and to keep after the event.
The gathering will be limited to 60 participants to keep the experience relaxed and intentional.
We will also offer five scholarship spots for people who have never camped before and are willing to sleep in a tent for the first time. These spots are meant to help introduce new people to camping and outdoor experiences.
All ticket holders will also be entered into a drawing for a camping starter set, including a tent and two camping chairs.
Tickets will go on sale April 15.
Ticket price is $100 per person and tickets, once purchased are non-refundable.
RV campers who need electric and water hookups can add an RV hookup pass for $50. All RV occupants must still purchase the standard weekend ticket.
The exact campsite location will be shared with registered participants only prior to the event. The venue is 20 minutes from Midtown, Memphis and is ancient land, used for thousands of years by our ancestors.
