Sacred Heart Awakening: The Mirror | Full Moon Cacao & Sound Ceremony
About this Event
Sacred Heart Awakening is a ceremonial sound journey
Luke Kalani, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and ceremonial artist. Having held over a hundred ceremonies in Perth since 2019, with thousands of participants now sitting in his spaces, he weaves plant medicine, sound healing, frequency and song to create a unique self-healing journey.
Cacao opens the door. Breath walks you through it. Music carries you into the deeper inner realms.
The moon goes full on that night. We will be in the room when it turns.
The theme
Everyone close to you is holding something up, a mirror.
The way you go quiet around one person. The way you become somebody else around another. The thing you have been meaning to say for two years and kept quiet.
The full moon in Aries asks what you want. Libra asks what it has cost the people around you to have you not say it.
That is the whole theme. Nothing more complicated.
The cacao
We begin with ceremonial cacao. It works slowly, which is why it goes in early, before anything else starts. It warms the chest, softens the guard you did not know you were holding, and brings you into the body rather than around it.
Nothing overwhelming. Nothing you cannot stay on top of. You stay entirely yourself, just with more room in you.
The breath
Restorative rather than cathartic. Gentle, guided, aimed at settling the nervous system so that the sound has somewhere to land.
You will not be pushed. Nobody in this room is trying to break you open.
The sound and the songs
An hour of layered live sound, then thirty minutes of voice and guitar.
Sound moves through the body before the mind has a chance to argue with it. Things loosen. Grief that has been sitting in the chest for a year finds a way out. Something you had not thought about since childhood arrives, fully formed, and then leaves. People come back up with an answer to a question they did not know they were carrying.
The last thirty minutes is where it all lands. Original songs, live, no backing. This is the part people write to me about the next morning, and it is almost always about something they were not expecting.
The flow of the night
You arrive at half past six and the room is already lit. Low, warm, no overheads. Music playing before you cross the door.
Frankincense at the hands, drawn up over the heart. Shoes off. Phone silent.
You leave the week at the door.
Cacao goes in early. So you drink, find your spot, and we begin to go within.
Half an hour to yourself. Low light, quiet, something warm in your hands, a card to write on if something wants to be written. Most people have not been given the permission of stillness in a very long time. That permission is part of the medicine.
We open in circle.
Then you lie down.
Breath first, then sound, and in we go. Deep.
Then we come back. Slowly, together, breath by breath, until the room is one sound.
There is music in the background and half an hour to sit in it before anyone has to be anywhere.
What you leave with
Lighter. Most people describe it as something having been set down.
Clearer on one thing. Not everything. One thing, usually the one you have been circling for months.
Connected to a room of strangers who stopped being strangers somewhere around eight o'clock.
And an integration card to take home, with what you wrote on it, so that Saturday night does not evaporate by Tuesday.
Who this is for
You do not need experience. You do not need to be flexible, spiritual, or able to meditate. Roughly half the room each month is there for the first time, and we welcome them out loud so nobody sits there wondering.
You do not need to know what any of this means. Come and find out.
Before you come
- Eat something a few hours before, but come light rather than full
- Go easy on coffee that day. Cacao does its own work and does not need the help
- Wear something warm and soft that you can lie down in
- Bring a water bottle
- Bring an eye mask if you like the dark
- Bring mats, cushions and blankets. There's a few space (msg before event if needed)
- Give yourself somewhere quiet to go afterwards. Do not book anything at ten
