Fantasyland is dedicated to the young-in-heart, to those who that when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true.” Welcome to The Sacred Fairytale Gathering 🧚♂️🍄 on September 29 from 17-21 in Amsterdam - a celebration of the autumn equinox and our unique cosmic and fairy natures, hosted by Mid Summer Circle and LeilArts.
In the enchanted storybook of Frankendael park of Amsterdam, in an undisclosed and hidden nature spot behind the bushes, we will gather to celebrate the abundant harvest days by co-creating a magical and sacred space together, guided by elements and materials from nature. Each will bring out unique gifts to the celebration, so we can prepare collectively for the darker days to come and to manifest your wishes towards the light. We will intuitively play different fairytale archetypes and roles in the storytelling, forging deeper connections with each other in the ancient ‘village’ setting that brings us and spirits together in harmony.
THE FLOW
We will open the circle on time at 17:00. We will get to know each other through partnered rituals, and will each have a chance to uncover a secret shamanic name that may light our own paths through the months of darkness ahead. Then, we will begin the Sacred Fairytale; a magical storytelling that we will weave together guided by the provided and found nature materials, and our own creative gifts around a sacred fire. Costumes, body and face paint will be provided if you wish to add a bit of harvest magic to your own appearance and flavor. A nature mandala ritual will be co-created and then removed at the closing leaving no trace.
As the sun goes down, our own fairies inside just can't wait to come out to play and connect, with storytelling, music, dancing, singing, stories, poems, and a potluck sharing, just like the good old times. We will end with a closing circle at around 20:30.
THE PRACTICALS:
– To sign up, you must send either Alina (+31 622002749) or Leila (+31 613596848) a message
– Tickets are donation-based for everyone (suggested amount: 20-40 euros to help us cover the basic costs of travel and materials)
– The exact location will be shared once your spot is confirmed
– Please dress appropriately for the weather, and you are welcome to wear any clothes that spark playfulness and magic within you
– We also invite you to bring food and drinks for the potluck, blankets to sit on, and to bring any instruments or gifts you want to share (e.g a dance, a story, a poem, a tarot reading)
– For the sacred fire, we invite you to bring a candle and a personal item that you wish to be part of the altar. We will exchange candles with one another as part of the closing ceremony
