SACRED EMBODIMENT: Therapeutic Somatic Dance *Improv/Meditation/Stretch*

Welcome to Sacred Embodiment, a type of therapeutic and empowering somatic dance class for women.

Blending improv dance, moving meditation, and stretching and freeing the body, you will take a gentle and nurturing dive into your body's inner world, becoming the compassionate witness to your thoughts, sensations, images and emotions.

With eyes closed and in a dimly lit space, I will guide you through a class with music, giving suggestions and offerings so you can hear the messages of your body while sourcing safety, comfort, ease and even feel-good sensations as you move and breathe.

​Class after class, your body learns and remembers—oh, it’s the time again to slow down, breathe, let go and feel—and it deepens and transforms the more you do it.

​This practice cleanses or washes out things that have been shut down or built up in your physical, mental and emotional body.

No dance experience is necessary, nor is there a routine to learn and follow. This is an improvisational, unstructured movement practice.

At every point during the class you will move as much or as little as your body calls for.

We will start on the ground and also invite standing movement too.

🌟 This is a class which allows your body and mind to let go of stress and tension so you can invite more energy and vitality into your being.

🌟 ​This class is for women only. We will be diving deep into our feminine bodies, and an all-female space will support the nervous system to relax and source safety. Women have been gathering and moving/dancing together since time immemorial, so this is a space to tap into that sacred remembering and support of an all-female space.

• Connect to your inner world and body's signals, messages and wisdom
• Break from commitments and busy routines to access the present moment, so you can decompress and relax
• Welcome and feel all your body to access vitality and feeling more alive
• Release all that you’re holding on to so tightly in your body, softening those places and spaces the are tight, tense and uncomfortable
• Connect back to sensation, pleasure and awe using breath and movement
