When our words and actions are consistent, accessibility becomes a shared expression of care and helps everyone feel at ease in worship. This training supports leaders and volunteers in using language and practices that reflect dignity, welcome, and care.Goal of Training:
- Ensure people remain the priority in both language and actions
- Integrate accessibility as a standard expression of hospitality, not a special accommodation
- Commit to avoiding assumptions about a person’s ability, needs, or preferences
- Share responsibility for accessibility across the entire church community, rather than assigning it to one role or team
- Demonstrate flexibility and communicate care, even when solutions are still in progress or not yet perfect
