Sacramento Resource Panel - August 2026

Come and reconnect with your peers and attend the upcoming in-person meeting of The Sacramento Resource Panel. The event will be held in a casual atmosphere to enable homeowners, board members, managers, and other professionals to hear about important topics presented by experts in the HOA industry.

Strong homeowner engagement can make a meaningful difference in how HOA communities operate and communicate. When residents feel informed, included, and connected to their community, associations are often better positioned to build trust, improve participation, and support more productive relationships between homeowners and board members. This meeting will explore practical ways HOAs can encourage greater involvement and create a stronger sense of community.

Sonja Bachus, CEO of Bimini Corp, will discuss common barriers that prevent homeowners from participating such as limited time, unclear expectations, and uncertainty about how to get involved. Attendees will learn strategies for making participation more approachable through clear communication, flexible volunteer opportunities, and better transparency around community decisions and projects. The presentation will also highlight the importance of showing homeowners how their involvement contributes to positive outcomes within the community.

During our discussion we will also focus on how associations can create a stronger culture of involvement by making participation feel more accessible and rewarding for residents. Rather than relying on the same small group of volunteers, communities can benefit from encouraging shared responsibility, recognizing contributions, and creating opportunities for homeowners to feel connected to the success of the association.
