Sacramento Police Department Open Practice Physical Ability Test

The practice Physical Abilities Test (PAT) provides prospective Police Recruit applicants with the opportunity to attempt the PAT prior to their official testing date. This practice session is strongly recommended for all prospective applicants, regardless of current fitness level or confidence with the test, as it allows participants to become familiar with the testing environment and expectations.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL TESTING DATE AND YOUR SCORES WILL NOT BE RECORDED

The practice PAT will be conducted at the Sacramento Police Academy located at 2409 Dean St., McClellan Park, CA 95652. Participants will meet at the track. The session will be held rain or shine.

Two practice sessions will be offered at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Please sign up for the session you plan on attending. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to complete the required waivers. Waivers will be provided via email 2 days before the event and we will also have copies on-site to complete before participating.

Attendees should bring water and wear appropriate physical training attire, including athletic clothing and shoes suitable for physical activity.

Open to current applicants or those interested in applying. Must be 18+ to participate. Please do not bring children or additional guests to the facility.
