Sacramento County Sheriff's SPARTA Run

Build endurance. Test your limits. Train like a Deputy Sheriff.

Join Sacramento County Sheriff's Office recruiters for our monthly SPARTA run at McKinley Park in East Sacramento—held the first Saturday of every month.

Part of our Sheriff’s Pre-Academy Recruit Training Activities (SPARTA) program, our monthly runs and other high-intensity workouts are designed to help potential recruits build the stamina, mindset, and grit it takes to succeed in the Sheriff’s academy and beyond. Push yourself alongside fellow candidates, connect with recruiters, and experience firsthand what it’s like to train for one of the most rewarding careers out there.

All fitness levels are welcome—every step gets you closer to your goal. Don’t wait to start your journey. Let’s get stronger together.
