About this Event
What does it mean to call a place home — and what happens when that place is at a crossroads?
Join the 1882 Foundation, Friends of Sacramento Chinatown Square, and UC Davis's Pan-Asian Youth Coalition for an afternoon of hands-on activities and civic dialogue centered on the revitalization of Sacramento Chinatown. Come share your voice and help shape the future of one of Sacramento's most historic neighborhoods.
Guided Chinatown Tour | 2:00 - 2:45 or 3:00 - 3:45
Join tour leader Brian Lee for an intimate, small-group tour of Sacramento Chinatown. Once the second largest Chinatown in California, this historic neighborhood was a vital hub for Chinese immigrants who helped build the Transcontinental Railroad and shape the Sacramento region. Today, Chinatown Square at 4th and J Street stands as the last remnant of that vibrant community. RSVP Required - please make sure to select the tour ticket when reserving. Two time slots are available.
